8 months agoThere are classrooms for various purposes at Martuni Basic School No. 2, named after Saribek Darbinyan in Gegharkunik region, but there are no classrooms where students can create technical equipment on their own.
Every year, the number of young people leaving the city due to the lack of opportunities for modern education and development decreases. They do not find their future in their native place.
In the Martuni region, migration work is very popular, contributing to emigration. Simultaneously, due to the lack of suitable jobs and modern professions, parents cannot imagine the future of their children in the city, aggravating the emigration phenomenon. Considering the above, the children of Martuni need to receive high-quality, accessible, and interesting education to overcome difficulties and build their future in their homeland.
Believing in the driving force of advanced technologies and the positive impact of IT professions, Martuni children study various computer programs. Their desire is to test their theoretical and technical knowledge and skills on other platforms, which can be facilitated by organizing an informal engineering workshop in the city.
Since 2011, the "Armath" educational program has been operating in Armenia. It is an informal technical and educational Armenian national program aimed at making engineering education accessible and consolidating knowledge of teaching science subjects in schools.
Out of 1,399 schools in Armenia, 626 have "Armath" laboratories, with 17,200 students and 568 coaches. The 627th could be Martuni's school with 1,000+ students who need technical education and engineering knowledge. These young people are the builders of the future Martuni.
If “Armath” comes to Basic School No. 2 Martuni, children will have the opportunity to gain new knowledge and apply old ones. They will use their free time more usefully and effectively and will become closer to their dreams.
“Armath’s” mission is to empower the younger generation with skills and a mindset for the economy of the future by fostering and unlocking engineering and creative talents.
In “Armath” Engineering Laboratories, children aged 10-18 are introduced to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education through interactive after-school classes, exciting competitions, innovative camps, and more.
The opening of the "Armath" engineering laboratory at the school will afford the opportunity to receive high-quality and technologically advanced education without the necessity of relocating from one's place of residence.
Our team “Armath” in Martuni united the entire community. A small team has been created to coordinate fundraising, the members of which you can meet below.
